Hyde Park

Man, how do you prepare for Europe? I think there's not really a way. After spending hours packing and preparing I left for the airport at 6:45 on May 7th. My good ol' poppa drove me to the airport. Then I went through, found my gate and ran into Rick-o-saurus. Which is a relief! He was invited to the study, and has been to Europe a couple times, so he knows the ropes. Without him, I think getting to my flat in London would have been a disaster! Anyway, went on a 3 hour flight to Atlanta, stopped in Atlanta airport, ate some food with Chloe and Rick, then onto another plane for 8 hours to London... That was a long ride. We got to London, and made our way to the flat. By the time we got to the flat it was around 9 in the morning London time.

[Walking thru London with the group. It is always rainy here :)]

We were asked to stay awake and sleep during London night time, so basically like pulling an all-nighter in the US. So naturally, Nikki, Sheree, and I got comfy in our flat beds and fell asleep for 3 hours. Oops.. Side note- our room smells like mold! But every time the man who takes care of our flat comes over we forget to tell him that it smells. (He's Very attractive. British accent included).
We had a meeting at night, talked about flat rules, and then took a little tour of the neighborhood we are staying in. It is right by Hyde Park, and a very beautiful nice neighborhood. The people around here are so wealthy. In Hyde Park is Kensington palace where the royals Will and Kate live. I'm not trying to brag, but also I am. Also first time I rode the tube! Which makes me motion sick every time, but it's really fun :) Can't complain! That night a group of us went to eat gelato. Yum!
